Introduction to Livestork

Livestork is an enterprise farm management platform that unifies operations, finance, and supply chain into a single cloud-based system for livestock and agricultural businesses.

What is Livestork?

Livestork replaces disconnected spreadsheets, paper records, and generic business software with a purpose-built platform that understands how farms actually work. It tracks livestock batches from arrival to sale, manages feed and inventory, records financial transactions, and gives managers real-time visibility into performance across every area of the business.

The platform is multi-tenant and cloud-hosted; each organization has its own isolated data environment. Enterprise accounts can manage multiple farm sites from a single account with consolidated reporting.

Built for poultry, adaptable for all livestock

Livestork was designed first for poultry operations (broiler, layer, hatchery) and expanded to cover pig farms and mixed livestock. The core batch management, FCR tracking, and reporting features were built with the specific rhythms of poultry production in mind.

Who is it for?

Livestork is used by the following roles within a farm organisation:

  • Farm Owners & Directors : Executive overview, financial performance, and multi-site comparison.
  • Farm Managers & Supervisors : Batch management, feed scheduling, health event tracking, and daily operations.
  • Finance & Accounting Teams : Invoicing, payments, ledger entries, and financial reporting.
  • Procurement Officers : Purchase orders, supplier management, and goods receiving.
  • Platform Administrators : User management, role assignments, organisation settings, and billing.

Key concepts

Understanding these core concepts will help you navigate Livestork effectively:

Organisation

Your top-level account container. All users, data, and settings belong to an organisation. Enterprise accounts can have multiple farm sites within one organisation.

Batch

A group of livestock managed together through a production cycle, from arrival (day-old chicks, piglets) to sale or closure. Batches track mortality, feed consumption, weight, and FCR.

FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio)

The ratio of feed consumed to weight gained. A lower FCR means better feed efficiency. Livestork calculates FCR in real time as you record daily updates.

Role

Every user has a role that determines what they can see and do. Roles range from Admin (full access) to Viewer (read-only). See the Users & Roles guide for the full permission matrix.

Platform modules

Livestork is organised into four main areas:
