Disease Events
A disease event is a formal record of a suspected or confirmed disease outbreak, distinct from the day-to-day health observations recorded on a batch. It exists to trigger, and document, a biosecurity response.
Disease Events vs. Health Events
Health Events cover routine and individual health observations, vet visits, and treatments for a batch. A Disease Event is a more significant record, typically reserved for a suspected outbreak that may require quarantine, biosecurity escalation, or regulatory awareness, rather than a single sick animal.
Recording a disease event
Navigate to Operations > Disease Events and create a new entry against the affected batch or site. Users with health-record permissions can create and update disease events; a supervisor or manager typically owns the follow-up response.
Connection to Quarantine Orders
A disease event often leads to a Quarantine Order, restricting movement in or out of the affected batch or site until the order is lifted. Quarantine Orders and Disease Events live under the same Health Management area of the navigation, so the two are always reviewed together.

Availability
Disease Events and Quarantine Orders are part of the disease and quarantine feature set, available on plans that include biosecurity and compliance management. If you don't see it in your navigation, contact your account administrator.
